Rights and Obligations – Talent Starter

Scope

This document sets out the rights and obligations applicable to Talent Starter in the context of its private employment placement activities, in accordance with the applicable Belgian and regional legislation on private recruitment services.

Talent Starter operates as a private recruitment agency specializing in the placement of early-career professionals (0–5 years of experience).

No Fees Charged to Candidates

Talent Starter does not request or accept any fee, commission, or financial contribution from candidates.

All recruitment services are provided to candidates free of charge.

Equal Treatment and Non-Discrimination

Talent Starter treats all candidates and client companies objectively, respectfully, and without discrimination.

We do not publish or promote job advertisements that could result in unlawful discrimination based on gender, origin, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.

Privacy and Data Protection

Talent Starter processes personal data strictly in compliance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data is:

  • Collected with the candidate’s consent

  • Used solely for professional placement purposes

  • Processed in the legitimate interest of matching candidates with suitable opportunities

  • Never sold or shared outside the scope of recruitment activities

Candidates and clients have the right to:

  • Access their personal data

  • Request correction or deletion

  • Withdraw consent at any time

Use of Information

Talent Starter collects and uses information relating to candidates and client companies exclusively within the framework of recruitment and placement activities.

Information is treated confidentially and will not be used for purposes unrelated to the recruitment process.

Transparency Toward Clients and Candidates

Talent Starter provides timely, accurate, and complete information regarding:

  • The nature of the position

  • The recruitment process

  • The expected responsibilities

  • The contractual framework (as communicated by the employer)

We do not misrepresent job opportunities or candidate profiles.

Genuine Job Opportunities

Talent Starter only conducts recruitment activities for genuine, active job vacancies provided by client companies.

We do not advertise fictitious or misleading positions.

Compliance with Applicable Law

Talent Starter does not participate in or facilitate employment arrangements that:

  • Violate Belgian or European social legislation

  • Breach tax regulations

  • Contravene public order

If irregularities are identified, Talent Starter reserves the right to terminate collaboration.

Hiring Decisions

Talent Starter supports and advises client companies during the recruitment process but does not replace the employer in:

  • Hiring decisions

  • Employment negotiations

  • Termination decisions

The final employment contract is concluded directly between the employer and the candidate.

Foreign Nationals

Talent Starter may introduce candidates of foreign nationality, provided that all applicable legislation regarding the employment of foreign nationals is respected by the employer.

Professional Ethics

Talent Starter operates in accordance with applicable regional accreditation requirements and complies with the relevant professional and ethical standards governing private recruitment services.

Integrity, confidentiality, transparency, and fairness form the foundation of our recruitment approach.

Complaints

Any complaint regarding our recruitment activities may be submitted:

  • Directly to Talent Starter at: business@talentstarter.be

  • Or to the competent regional authority in accordance with applicable legislation

Complaints will be handled confidentially and with due care.
